The Packer position is the entry level position in the Production Department. Under the direction of the Shift Production Lead, the Packer learns the basic operations in the Department. The Packer will be familiar with all aspects of production and develop production skills for many different products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Insert rosebuds in parts.
• Operate the different saws.
• Assist with the assembly of parts in the more complex operations
• Simple part assembly.
• Enter work times into daily production sheet accurately.
• Package products and print labels accurately.
• Use calipers, protractors and other measuring devices to inspect parts.
• De-burr parts.
• Strictly adhere to Company and plant safety policies and procedures.
• Read, understand and follow the manufacturing plans.
• Consistently produce parts within required tolerances in a timely manner.
• Understand basic drawings and recognize common parts.
• Perform common set ups.
• Other duties as assigned by the Fabrication Supervisor

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent desired.
• Entry level. Prior experience in a production environment preferred but not required
• Above average English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to perform basic mathematical computations i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Possess or purchase all tools required for the work.
• Ability to work required overtime as deemed necessary by management.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Work Environment

• Mild dust exposure. Dust masks are required for some operations.
• Steel Toe, Hearing and Eye protection required at all times on the floor

Available Shifts:

(3rd Shift-11pm-7am)

Job Location: Asheboro, NC

Payrate: $15.00-$19.00 (DOE)
